Economical Transport Ideas

What about transport? Are there cheaper ways of moving about? Do we really need a car? It all depends on where you live, what distances you need to travel and what time frames you have.

If you do need a car, you can research and look for a car that is cheap to run, and economical to work on. This will mean less week to week costs.

However, there are alternatives! What about using a bicycle? Walking? Buses? The cool thing is that even with using buses, some walking is still involved, and so you have the plus of regular exercise. Don't we do enough sitting around? What about driving less even if you do own a car, and starting to walk or cycle whenever you can? A natural way to improve your fitness.

Bicycles are great exercise and a fun way of travelling. Plus you can travel further and quicker than walking. You can cycle with friends or alone. Of course, you do need to purchase a bicycle - but they are much cheaper than a car. Plus on a wet day you can always use the bus!

Walking is great for all short distance travelling. Simple. No special requirements. Great for physical fitness, especially if you walk regularly. You can walk with your friends or you can walk alone.

Buses have their uses and can save you money. They are great for short distance or long distance travel. Also they can be quite social. You can meet friends at a bus stop or on the bus. Or even make new friends while you wait for the bus!

I'm thinking we need to all be more grateful that there are economical alternatives out there. Instead of being full of discontent because we may not own a car. Maybe we could all slow down a little and appreciate what we do have, and just enjoy the journey?

All these alternative forms of travel require no car purchase, nor car repair, maintenance, registration, or warrant of fitness. Carefree. No other hidden expenses. One less thing to worry about. Let's simplify life more, save money, and save ourselves from the extra expenses of owning a car. Something to think about anyway!
